You are gone all day and find out from the "news reporter" child of the family (you know, every family has one) that no one has eaten a decent meal all day and the house is a mess.
You do embarrassing things for your children.......such as wearing your son's letter man jacket on the football field for senior night with all the other senior moms, even though you are big pregnant and it looks really bad.
You are the one washing all the bedding and towels in the house after a major illness that has gone through just about each child.
You're the first person your child tells about their report card, good or bad.
You're the first person your child comes to when they are hurt or sick, no matter how old! Believe me, my 18 and 19 year old sons still come to me first.
You make all the birthday cakes in the family, made special to order.
You get the first kisses and hugs in the morning. And the baby reaches to you from everyone, including the dad-I just love that feeling :o) Yes, it is all worth it!
I didn't know every family had a reporter! We have one too!:)

ReplyDeleteI can totally relate!!!! You look radiant and your family is precious.
ReplyDeleteI think you look like a very proud Mama and I am sure your son was soooo proud. We just had our Senior Night too and I am getting ready to post our pics. Except ours was for my daughter who is a Cheerleader. Your family reminds me of ours. What a blessing a family is.
ReplyDeleteAwww, you look so cute in his letterman jacket! How sweet! You are the lucky one on the sidelines I'd say for sure!
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
You look adorable in his letter jacket! My three oldest sons also went from homeschooling to christian school and played football, basketbal, baseball, golf and track! makes for a BUSY family for sure! My oldest son graduated and played football in college one year. I still have one son in christian school who played basketball this year (at a different school). He is a great football player . . .but this school doesnt' have football. anyway, I love Senior Night . . . but it is emotional!
