Ron took the middle 4 kids camping with another Dad and 5 of his kids. So, 2 Dads and 9 children but they had a great time in the Appalachian Mountains (and I had a semi-quiet weekend at home with 3 little ones and the older kids in and out.)
Celebrated our super Dad's birthday and Father's Day. Crazy how some years it's on the same day! Busy weekend for me trying to make it "perfect" for him.
Patrick loves playing in his little house. It's the perfect size for him and actually it's the girls' but he is so cute in it. And we've had a not too hot summer so far, so we've been enjoying the backyard a good bit.
Took Anna and her adorable roommate to college orientation. It was surreal, but I didn't get too emotional.
Going to the pool with 2 toddlers is quite a feat! Not really very enjoyable for me, unless another adult is with me to help. I usually just hang out in the baby pool and try to keep everyone safe ; )
3 of the children are on the neighborhood swim team. This is a first for us but they are all really enjoying it and doing great. I love sports/extracurricular activities that the kids can ride their bikes to!
Ron and I went on a weekend anniversary trip to Richmond. We both love early American history trips and it was so nice to get away with no kids.
My daughter's b-day is also on the 17th, which means that Father's Day got pushed a little to the side... :)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is so pretty - love her hair!
Looks like you're having a great summer. How fun to get away for a bit just as a couple. My hubby and I just celebrated 10 years and we went to Mackinac Island for a night. It was wonderful! Here's my post about it (in case you wanted to see some pics ;) ) http://dearlylovedmist.blogspot.com/2012/06/vacation-anniversary-and-birthday.html
Looks like good times! Sorry to hear about the colds and cars no fun;/
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy, yet fun summer! I enjoyed looking at pictures if your beautiful children!
ReplyDeleteBless you. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteFor a couple of week I came by accident on your blog, and began reading.
I really like your blog, specially the humor in your wrighting.
I recognize in my family in it. We've 3 children and I babysit 7 children of the age of 2, 6 and 7. Not all at once, spreaded out over the week. So our house is somethimes a busy household. And there isn't a week going by whitout something going wrong.
I'm a stayinghome mom and we live in Holland.
I don't know the time differents with your place. So I'm wrighting this in the evening.
We don't do homeschooling here in Holland, but I admire you, for doing that.
I don't now if you know 'The Mom song'. It's really funny. I could email it to you.
My adres is: beenen.sofie@home.nl
I will be folowing your blog. I'm just loving it.
Greats from Holland.
